Overview
Hagrid introduces Harry to the truth about his parents and helps him buy his first school supplies. His hut at the edge of the Hogwarts grounds becomes a familiar refuge. He is deeply loyal to Dumbledore and often sees the appeal in creatures that frighten everyone else, a tendency that brings both discoveries and trouble.

This entry distinguishes what the story establishes from what a character believes. For context, read the named chapters rather than relying on an isolated statement. A film scene, game mechanic or fan theory is not evidence that the same event occurs in the novels.
