Overview
Draco meets Harry before their first term and quickly becomes a school rival. His confidence rests on his family’s money, connections and beliefs about magical ancestry. His early behaviour gives a clear picture of the prejudice Harry encounters at Hogwarts, while later books place him under pressures that school rivalry alone cannot explain.
